Biden shared how the U.S. Secret Service expressed concerns about his visit to Ukraine in 2023.

Байден поделился, что Секретная служба США была обеспокоена его визитом в Украину в 2023 году.

According to Biden, he could not arrive in Ukraine by plane as there were concerns in the U.S. that he might be shot down, so he opted for a train instead. However, the U.S. Secret Service, tasked with protecting the president, believed that the Russians "would know we are here" and that "someone would do something to disable the train."

"When I got off the train, we were walking through an area when suddenly sirens blared. [Ukrainian President Volodymyr] Zelensky and I were determined not to stop and to keep moving forward because those sirens meant we were about to be attacked," the U.S. president recounted.

The video also includes quotes from Zelensky, who mentioned that "it is very important that Biden saw this with his own eyes, rather than through the eyes of his intelligence."

"He could truly share [the situation] with his people because he was there," Zelensky noted.

The Ukrainian leader also added that Biden's visit to Kyiv marks the first time in history that a U.S. president has visited a war-torn country not controlled by the American military.

Biden himself also posted a corresponding video on his Instagram, stating that he "is proud to have united the world in support of Ukraine as it defends itself against Russian aggression."
