A video recording has been published on the White House's YouTube channel.
"When Putin invaded Ukraine, he thought he would capture Kyiv in a matter of days. In reality, after the war began, I visited central Kyiv, not him. Putin did not do that," Biden stated. "It took a long time to travel by train! But I am the only commander-in-chief who has visited a combat zone that is not controlled by U.S. forces."
According to the American president, the U.S. has assisted Ukraine and halted Putin.
"He still has not managed to conquer Ukraine. He has not been able to break NATO's unity. He has not captured significant territories," Biden noted.
He added that the U.S. has united 50 countries in support of Ukraine, provided Kyiv with a substantial amount of ammunition, and imposed unprecedented sanctions on the aggressor nation, Russia, to ensure that Ukraine continues to fight.
