"During the meeting, I once again expressed my condolences regarding the crash of the Azerbaijan Airlines plane and the loss of lives. The evidence from the crash site is clear; it is crucial to pressure Russia to make them speak the truth," wrote the head of the Ukrainian state.
In turn, Aliyev informed Zelensky about the progress of the investigation, particularly regarding the circumstances that have already been established, noted the Office of the President.
"We discussed bilateral relations and their future development: increasing trade between our countries in the long term, and cooperation in the energy sector," the President of Ukraine informed.
Separately, Zelensky highlighted the humanitarian aid to Ukraine, specifically the support for Ukrainian energy, the implementation of a rehabilitation program for children affected by the full-scale Russian aggression, as well as assistance with humanitarian demining, the Office of the President added.
They also noted that Azerbaijani companies are participating in the reconstruction of Ukraine and are executing investment projects.
Aliyev and Zelensky held a meeting based on a request from the Ukrainian side, emphasized the website of the President of Azerbaijan.
"During the conversation, we discussed the ties between Azerbaijan and Ukraine in the political, economic, and humanitarian spheres, cooperation in the energy sector, and issues of regional security," the statement said.
