In Poltava, a former fitness trainer was sentenced to 6 years in prison for insulting employees of the TCC and assaulting a law enforcement officer during detention.
According to information from the SBU in the Poltava region, in the summer of 2023, while in the center of Poltava, the individual began to provoke and verbally abuse workers of the local military recruitment office.
"The provocateur spat at one of the soldiers who had returned from the front, having suffered a concussion and multiple injuries from a mine explosion. During the incident, he unfoundedly accused Ukrainian defenders of being supposedly responsible for the outbreak of the war between the Russian Federation and Ukraine and claimed they 'kill people for money.' Additionally, he turned out to be a fervent supporter of Kremlin narratives regarding the war in Ukraine," the report states.
The man filmed his actions and subsequently posted the video with "comments" on his personal page on a social network.
As established by the SBU, in this manner, the individual had repeatedly attempted to discredit Ukrainian defenders who are fighting against Russian invaders.
According to data from the Poltava regional prosecutor's office, on August 29, 2023, during a document check by police officers, the man behaved provocatively, ignored requests to cease his unlawful behavior, and resisted arrest, causing bodily harm to one of the law enforcement officers.
According to the conclusion of a medical examination, on that day, the former fitness trainer was in a state of drug intoxication.
The blogger was notified of suspicion under 4 articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine: part 1 of article 114-1 (obstruction of the lawful activities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other military formations); part 2 of article 435-1 (insulting the honor and dignity of a serviceman, threatening a serviceman); part 2 of article 345 (threat or violence against a law enforcement officer); part 2, 3 of article 436-2 (justification, recognition as lawful, denial of the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, glorification of its participants).
The former fitness trainer received a sentence of 6 years in prison with confiscation of half of his property.
As added by the prosecutor's office, the man did not admit his guilt in committing the crimes.

Details of the incident involving the Poltava fitness trainer
As reported by UNIAN, in the summer of 2023, on the street in Poltava, fitness trainer Roman Zavoloka insulted and humiliated employees of the Poltava regional territorial recruitment and social support center. One of them was a serviceman who had returned from the combat zone.
The trainer claimed that the soldier was a "fool who fell for the bait," and now for money he "terrifies the guys." Additionally, he spat at the serviceman and made an obscene gesture.
In August, during a document check by police, the man behaved provocatively, used foul language, and inflicted bodily harm on one of the law enforcement officers.
Later, Zavoloka explained his actions by stating that he was afraid of being handed a summons.
