"Georgian Dream": Most foreigners detained during protests in Tbilisi are Russians.

"Грузинская мечта": большинство задержанных на протестах в Тбилиси иностранцев – граждане России.

"30% of the individuals identified during and after the detentions at protests in Tbilisi, occurring on the central streets, are, to our surprise, citizens of other countries... What is happening? Someone needs to explain this oddity. Why have these foreign citizens reacted so strongly following our decision?" – stated Mdinaradze.

He claims that "the majority of detained foreigners are citizens of Russia."

"Echo of the Caucasus" calculated that the number of detained foreigners is approximately 90 out of 293, as reported by the Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs.

The publication noted that the pro-government channel "Imedi" released a list of those detained on the first night of the protests (the list was shown by the publication "News-Georgia"), and out of 10 individuals, eight turned out to be Russians, along with one Belarusian and one American.
