A Ukrainian attempted to cross the border using forged documents claiming to have "triplets" in an incubator.
According to the State Border Guard Service, a 26-year-old man, who claimed to be the father of three children, tried to leave Ukraine with fake birth certificates.
During his interaction with the border guards, the man insisted that the babies were supposedly born in July and were currently in incubators due to health issues. He also stated that their mother was with them in Germany. However, the border guards had information indicating that the woman was actually in Ukraine. The man then concocted a new story, claiming that the woman had returned to Ukraine, leaving the babies in a foreign country due to postpartum depression.
"In reality, the documents are fake and do not grant permission to cross the border. Thus, this 'prolific' citizen faces criminal charges for forgery," noted the State Border Guard Service.
Attempts of Illegal Border Crossing
As reported by UNIAN, in August, the body of a man was discovered in the Tisza River near the Romanian border. The deceased was identified as a middle-aged man. It was noted that no documents were found on him.
Additionally, there was a previous attack on Ukrainian border guards at the Ukrainian-Romanian border. Unknown individuals seized their weapons and grenades, breaking into Romania. Extra teams were dispatched to search for the offenders and to check the rear approaches to the border. Romanian border guards and cooperating law enforcement agencies were also informed.
