"The appointment of Ivan Rudnitsky as the head of the Volyn Regional State Administration and Miroslav Biltsky as the head of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration has been approved," he wrote.
During the same meeting, the Cabinet of Ministers agreed to dismiss Yuri Pohulaiiko from the position of head of the Volyn Regional State Administration and relieved Alexander Serhii of his duties as Deputy Minister of Defense.
Pohulaiiko had been appointed head of the Volyn Regional State Administration in December 2019.
According to Melnychuk, Cabinet members dismissed Roman Opimakh from the position of head of the State Service of Geology and Subsoil of Ukraine and temporarily assigned the duties of the head of the service to Serhii Dekhtiarenko.
Opimakh confirmed his dismissal on Facebook.
"My five-year term as head of the State Service of Geology and Subsoil of Ukraine has come to an end. During these years, a solid foundation was laid for its establishment as a modern service-oriented agency that builds relationships in the industry with tolerance, responsibility, and professionalism," he wrote.
The now-former head listed the service's achievements over recent years but did not specify the reasons for his dismissal.
