The Mayor of Tbilisi responded to the sanctions, stating that Zelensky "serves the interests of another country."

Мэр Тбилиси прокомментировал санкции, утверждая, что Зеленский "представляет интересы другой страны".

According to the mayor of Tbilisi, he "understands the situation" of the Ukrainian president and added that he "would not wish" anyone to be in the position that Zelensky currently finds himself in.

"Today he does not belong to himself, does not belong to his family, and what is most difficult – he does not belong to Ukraine and the Ukrainian people. He serves the interests of another country," said Kaladze, although he did not specify which country.

He mentioned that the Ukrainian people will analyze all the processes that have occurred and will "very soon understand" under whose support the "misfortune that, unfortunately, is happening in Ukraine today" took place, clearly referring to the armed conflict initiated by the aggressor country, Russia.

Kaladze also shared that many Ukrainian families who "fled from the war" to Georgia are "benefiting from numerous privileges established for them by the Tbilisi city hall."

"We will certainly support all these families, all these children, and this will be our response to what Zelensky has voiced," he stated.
