The newly elected U.S. President Donald Trump has stated that ending the war in Ukraine is one of his key international priorities when he takes office on January 20.
Trump has also appointed retired American General Keith Kellogg as his special representative for Ukraine.
According to Clark, reaching a peace agreement by Easter (April 20) "will be incredibly difficult for Ukraine."
He noted that "people must respect the fact that this is Ukraine's decision." Ultimately, it is not a decision for the U.S. or the U.K., Clark added.
"I think the American side will definitely consider any agreement by Easter," he remarked.
Clark stated that it all comes down to how much the illegitimate Russian President Vladimir Putin is "willing to sacrifice, especially in areas like Kursk," as well as how much Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is "prepared to sacrifice."
