According to Ermak, the primary topic of discussion was "coordinating joint efforts to achieve a fair and lasting peace."
"[Illegitimate Russian President Vladimir] Putin never plays by the rules. Russians respect only strength and disdain those who do not apply it. Any agreements without strong pressure from Russia will not work – control over Ukraine remains the foundation of the Kremlin's imperial ambitions. That is why it is our collective duty to ensure that the aggressor pays a real price for all that has been done," wrote the head of the Office of the President.
Ermak added that he and Kellogg also discussed the continued support for Ukraine.
"Supporting Ukraine now is much cheaper than confronting a stronger Russia later," emphasized the head of the Office of the President. "We also separately discussed the preparation for upcoming high-level meetings and the visit of the U.S. Special Representative to Ukraine.
