The National Police is investigating the legality of disability claims made by officials from ARMA, according to media reports.

Нацполиция расследует законность оформления инвалидности сотрудниками АРМА, сообщают СМИ.

According to information from the news agency, the police initiated a criminal case on October 25 regarding instances of official forgery and abuse of office. The investigation suggests that employees of the Medical and Social Expert Commission (MSEC) may have organized the issuance of fake disability certificates to certain officials of ARMA. As part of the investigation, law enforcement has approached the court to request access to medical documents of agency employees who were granted disability status.

The police are currently examining five agency officials. Their personal details are concealed in the text of the rulings; however, according to UNN, among them is Alexander Danilkovich, an advisor to the chairman of ARMA. UNN provides a link to the ruling of the Pechersk District Court, which mentions the investigation, but the name of the subject is not published.

"After reports emerged that the police are investigating whether ARMA employees obtained their disability status lawfully, any statements from [the head of the agency] Elena Duma regarding the MSEC appear even less convincing and call into question her professionalism. If these suspicions are confirmed, the situation for Elena Duma could end similarly to that of [former Prosecutor General Andrey] Kostin. The scandal involving subordinates linked to the 'purchase' of certificates has the potential to ruin her reputation as a manager and lead to her resignation," journalists stated.
