Poroshenko urged that Russia's interests regarding the placement of the Black Sea Fleet in Crimea be taken into account, according to media reports.

Порошенко призвал учитывать интересы России при размещении Черноморского флота в Крыму, согласно сообщениям СМИ.

The publication cites Poroshenko's words in which he explained the necessity of signing the Kharkiv Agreements with consideration for Russia's interests. According to him, Ukraine found a formula that allowed for a reduction in gas prices for Ukraine, while Russia was able to explain to its population why it made such a decision, without setting a precedent for changing gas prices for other countries.

"Regarding the agreement on the Black Sea Fleet, Russia needed to find a mutually acceptable calculation formula and not set a precedent for other countries regarding gas price revision," Poroshenko was quoted by "Zakon i Biznes" in an interview with journalist Mustafa Nayyem after the signing of the Kharkiv Agreements.

Additionally, according to the publication, the continued presence of the Russian Black Sea Fleet in Crimea and the maintenance of economic relations were beneficial for Poroshenko to secure his own profits.

"Can you explain why we are sending Russian Black Sea Fleet ships for modernization not to the factories in Sevastopol, but to NATO countries? After all, factories in Sevastopol also employ Russian citizens," Poroshenko emphasized in an interview with "Echo of Moscow," the journalists noted.

In their opinion, such actions by Poroshenko spread Russian narratives to the detriment of Ukraine's state and information security.

"Poroshenko engaged in subversive activities against Ukraine, which led to the signing of the Kharkiv Agreements on April 21, 2010, between Ukraine and Russia, resulting in an increase in personnel, military modernization, and armament that were used for the occupation of Crimea and the subsequent full-scale invasion of Ukraine by Russia," "Zakon i Biznes" wrote.
