"Manipulations regarding the cooperation agreement in the field of security and long-term support between Ukraine and Denmark are being spread on Telegram channels. It is reported that under the agreement signed by the two countries on February 23, 2024, Ukraine is allegedly obligated to defend Denmark in the event that the USA attempts to capture Greenland by military means. [...] Such manipulations cause informational harm," writes the CPI.
The center emphasized that the actual agreement between Ukraine and Denmark pertains to "safe cooperation to support Ukraine in countering Russian aggression."
"There is nothing else in the document. Under this agreement, Denmark commits to providing support to Ukraine for 10 years. Long-term military support is included, covering the supply of equipment, ammunition, military training, as well as enhancing defense capabilities in critical areas such as maritime security, air defense, and cyber protection," explained the agency under the National Security and Defense Council.
The CPI stressed that, according to the agreement with Denmark, Ukraine must ensure that Denmark's military assistance is used solely for the self-defense of the Ukrainian state.
