"The president is facing a unique challenge that his predecessors did not encounter: maintaining a political balance between the economic and military sectors of the government. These two areas are interdependent. Currently, there is a significant tilt towards the military. Primarily, this concerns the issue of reserving personnel. As of now, the reservation of critical specialists for Ukrainian enterprises has been halted until November 15, and there is no clarity on whether this deadline will be extended," the political analyst emphasized.
Fesenko also highlighted that the president is responsible for maintaining a balance between the economy and defense, noting that if the focus is solely on military needs, financial support for the army may diminish.
"This decision is entirely his personal responsibility as a sort of arbitrator in the conflict of interests between the economic and military sectors. If the imbalance persists, over time, military interests will also suffer because support from the business sector for the army will significantly decrease," the expert believes.
