Zelensky stated that selling Georgia's interests to Putin will not lead to anything positive for Ivanishvili.

Зеленский заявил, что продажа интересов Грузии Путину не принесет Иванишвили ничего хорошего.

Zelensky reminded that he signed a decree imposing sanctions against several representatives of the Georgian authorities (the list includes 19 individuals, among them: the honorary head of the ruling party "Georgian Dream" Bidzina Ivanishvili and its secretary general, Tbilisi Mayor and former footballer Kaha Kaladze, as well as Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze).

"It is important that similar principled decisions are made by our partners around the world: from Europeans, from Americans, in general from everyone who values the independence of nations and the rule of law. Selling Georgia's interests to [illegitimate President of the Russian Federation Vladimir] Putin will lead to nothing good for Ivanishvili," he added.

Zelensky announced the imposition of sanctions this morning. The Georgian President Salome Zourabichvili, who supports anti-government protests, expressed her gratitude for this step.

She retweeted the relevant statement from the President of Ukraine and wrote: "Couldn’t have said it better. Thank you, Volodymyr! Russia is trying to regain control over the Black Sea."
