"This was his first meeting during the visit, and I am grateful to him for coming to Ukraine during this challenging time – we appreciate it. It is important for us that Kit Kellogg receives complete information about what is happening at the front, about the resilience and spirit of our nation, which have remained unchanged all these years. We want him to see it with his own eyes and get all the details," wrote Ermak.
According to him, important aspects of Kellogg's visit to Ukraine will include briefings from military command and commanders on the ground regarding the situation on the battlefield in the war against the aggressor country, Russia.
Ermak noted that Kyiv expects continued American support for Ukraine and wants the relations between the two countries to "remain open – with trust and principles of mutual success."
"How this war ends is important. I personally conveyed this to Kit Kellogg. Russia always manipulates information, tries to sow division, lies to turn us against each other," emphasized the head of the Office of the President. "The principle of nothing about Ukraine without Ukraine is key. We are interested in the U.S. standing on the side of truth and justice, which is on our side."
As Ermak pointed out, Ukraine is also interested in a strategic, long-term, and comprehensive partnership with the U.S.
"Ukraine needs security guarantees, defense, and economic partnership," he added after the meeting with Kellogg.
