According to him, Russians attempted to finance the campaign of the opponent of the pro-European president of the country, Maia Sandu, bribed voters, spread misinformation, and conducted cyberattacks, but these efforts did not yield results.
"The people of Moldova stood up and made sure their voices were heard," the State Department spokesperson concluded.
