"On February 11, 2025, at 14:09, an airspace violation occurred over the territorial waters of the Republic of Poland by a Su-24MR aircraft of the Russian Federation in the eastern part of the Gdańsk Bay," the report states.
The command noted that the aircraft, flying from the Kaliningrad region, breached Polish airspace to a maximum depth of 6.5 km and remained there for 1 minute and 12 seconds.
The Polish Armed Forces' radar systems monitored the aircraft. Its flight path was altered following intervention from the Russian Armed Forces' navigator.
"The duty services of Polish airspace control contacted the Russian side, which confirmed the fact of the airspace violation and stated that it occurred due to a malfunction of the Su-24MR aircraft's navigation system," the operational command informed.
Earlier, on the morning of February 11, in response to the Russian attack on Ukraine, Poland and its allies scrambled fighter jets.
