"There were several reports from the Commander-in-Chief [of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Alexander] Syrsky regarding the situation at our front and the outlook for the near future. In particular, we have information about the preparation of two units from the military of North Korea – possibly even two brigades of 6,000 personnel each. This is a challenge. But we know how to respond to this challenge. It is also important that our partners do not shy away from this challenge. All partners," said Zelensky.
He expressed gratitude to the countries that publicly condemned North Korea's involvement in Russia's aggression against Ukraine.
"It is clear that in Pyongyang, just like in Moscow, they do not consider people and do not value human lives. However, we are all equally interested in ending the war, not prolonging it. Therefore, we must collectively stop Russia and its accomplices. If North Korea can intervene in the war in Europe, it means that the pressure on this regime is clearly insufficient," stated the President of Ukraine.
Zelensky believes that "if Russia is still able to prolong and escalate this war, then everyone in the world who has not yet helped compel Russia to peace is, in fact, aiding [illegitimate President of the Russian Federation Vladimir] Putin in waging war."
"Criminals must be stopped. We expect a strong, substantive reaction from the world. Preferably, not just in words," emphasized the President of Ukraine.
