Sullivan met with Ermak and promised that the U.S. will provide Ukraine with a significant weapons package in a month.

Салливан обсудил с Ермаком планы США предоставить Украине значительный пакет вооружений в течение месяца.

The U.S. National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan held a meeting with the head of the Ukrainian President's office, Andriy Yermak, which lasted over an hour. During this meeting, he promised to provide Ukraine with hundreds of thousands of additional artillery shells, thousands of missiles, and hundreds of armored vehicles by mid-January. The U.S. is also offering to train Ukrainian soldiers at facilities outside of Ukraine.

At the same time, an agreement is almost reached on providing $20 billion in loans, which will be backed by profits from immobilized Russian sovereign assets.

Additionally, the U.S. will introduce new sanctions in the coming weeks aimed at complicating Russia's ability to continue military operations and strengthening Ukraine's position at the negotiating table, which could lay the groundwork for a future settlement.

The publication notes that this move by the White House to assist Kyiv comes just over a month before the inauguration of elected U.S. President Donald Trump, after which the States may propose a completely new strategy for a ceasefire.
