In Volyn, a serviceman from the Territorial Recruitment Center was detained, who had been recruited by Russian military intelligence.

According to reports from the Security Service of Ukraine, a 30-year-old serviceman, who was serving in the local Territorial Recruitment Center's security unit, attempted to identify and relay the locations of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, the Security Service, and the National Police to the aggressor for strikes against Volyn.

Investigators found that the man came to the attention of the occupiers due to his relatives in Russia, with whom he maintained contact and shared anti-Ukrainian views.

It was noted that the TCC employee used an official vehicle to survey the area under the guise of work trips, documenting the locations of military facilities.

He also sought to identify radar stations and anti-aircraft missile systems of the Ukrainian Armed Forces to facilitate enemy shelling "bypassing" Ukrainian air defense.

The information he gathered was sent to his Russian handler via an anonymous chat in a messenger app.

The detained TCC employee has been notified of suspicion under part 2 of article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (treason committed under martial law). He faces life imprisonment with confiscation of property.

As informed by the Office of the Prosecutor General, he also provided information to Russian agents about the personnel and leadership of his TCC, the location of military units, air defense assets, and other strategic facilities in Volyn.

"To communicate with representatives of the Russian Federation, he used a messenger app, and for his 'services,' he received compensation that he accumulated in cryptocurrency and transferred to personal bank accounts. During a search of his home, technical devices with evidence of subversive activities were found," the statement said.

The serviceman has been suspended from duty.

Other Detentions of TCC Employees

In August, the heads of the Boryspil and Bucha TCCs and their accomplice were detained in Kyiv Oblast, suspected of aiding in evading mobilization. According to investigators, they facilitated the production of counterfeit medical documents, which subsequently served as grounds for declaring military personnel unfit for military service and removing them from the military register.

More than 20 individuals have been documented attempting to evade mobilization in this manner.

During searches of two regional TCC leaders, nearly half a million US dollars was seized, along with over 600 thousand US dollars from their accomplice, as well as military registration and medical documents of military personnel.
