It has been noted that the Biden team wants Harris to win the elections in November, but many of the sitting president's aides are still frustrated that he was compelled to step back from seeking re-election.
They are "overly concerned" about this, emphasized a source to the media.
Additionally, the White House is not sufficiently coordinating Biden's messaging and speaking schedule to align with the interests of Harris's campaign, Axios reported.
Specifically, on October 11, Biden held an impromptu press conference at the same time Harris was set to address her supporters in Michigan, which led to her speech receiving less media coverage.
Earlier in the week, Harris criticized Florida Governor Ron DeSantis for not returning her call regarding hurricanes. Shortly after that, Biden praised him for his "courtesy" and "willingness to collaborate."
As Axios pointed out, several of Biden's aides have joined Harris's campaign. Now, they are viewed as disloyal in the White House for making that switch, while Harris's team regards them with suspicion.
