"I had a phone conversation with the Prime Minister of Canada. [...] We discussed further cooperation on organizing the second world summit and involving Global South countries in this effort. Additionally, the Prime Minister informed me about the shipment of the first NASAMS air defense system ordered by Canada for Ukraine. We expect to receive it by the end of this year," – he wrote.
According to the President, he also talked with Trudeau about continued defense support for Ukraine, the situation on the battlefield, including the involvement of North Korea in Russia's war against Ukraine, as well as "coordinated cooperation within the framework of Canada's G7 presidency next year."
"I am grateful to Justin Trudeau, his team, and everyone involved for the successful thematic conference on the fourth point of the peace formula 'Release of prisoners and deportees,' which took place in Montreal on October 30-31. The next step should be the preparation of a final document – a peace plan – based on the results of all thematic conferences. On the sidelines of the conference, our delegation presented a victory plan to Justin, and today he confirmed his support for it," – stated Zelensky.
