Ukraine and Lithuania will collaborate on the production of drones, ammunition, and electronic warfare systems, according to Umerov.

He reported that he held a meeting in Kyiv with the Minister of National Defense of Lithuania, Laurynas Kasčiūnas.

"Together with my Lithuanian colleague and the Minister for Strategic Industries of Ukraine, Herman Smetanin, we signed a document aimed at strengthening our defenders on the battlefield: a memorandum […] on cooperation in the defense industry," Umerov wrote. "In particular, the memorandum provides for the joint production of UAVs and their components, ammunition and parts, electronic warfare means, and the development of advanced technologies."

According to the Ukrainian minister, during the meeting with Kasčiūnas, they also discussed specific ways to deepen cooperation between the countries, including plans for 2025 aimed at providing even greater military assistance to Ukraine.

As noted by the Lithuanian Ministry of Defense, the meeting between Umerov and Kasčiūnas addressed Lithuania's UAV development program, learning from Ukraine's experiences and lessons, as well as enhancing the capabilities of the drone industry.

"Lithuania has allocated an additional €10 million to purchase various types of drones from Lithuanian manufacturers for Ukraine next year. Moreover, next year Lithuania plans to allocate €30 million for a demining coalition and contribute to the continuation of the Czech Republic's artillery initiative, as well as invest in Ukraine's defense industry," the statement said.

At the conclusion of the meeting, a memorandum of understanding was signed to support the production of weapons and ammunition and to implement other defense industry projects, summarized the Lithuanian Ministry of Defense.
