"The cargo ship Usko Mfu, flying the flag of Cameroon, was detained in the Odesa region by the Maritime Guard of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine in conjunction with other law enforcement agencies. The detention took place in July of this year," the State Border Guard Service reminded.
They noted that currently, by court decision, the vessel has been transferred into the ownership of the state of Ukraine.
"Its captain is accused of violating the entry procedure to occupied territories with the intent to harm state interests, as any operations in the ports of Crimea or the Sea of Azov violate international norms and Ukrainian legislation," the statement said.
