Sejourne was part of a group of European leaders who visited the Ukrainian capital on the anniversary of the start of Russia's invasion of Ukraine, AFP reports.
On February 24, the President of the European Council, Antonio Costa, declared in Kyiv that EU countries do not claim Ukraine's natural resources in exchange for military assistance.
"We do this for Ukraine, for Ukrainians, and also for European security, and we are not taking anything back," he said.
