The Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense stated that MP Shevchenko is not an employee of their intelligence agency.

В ГУР МО отметили, что народный депутат Шевченко не является работником их разведывательного управления.

"The mentioned individual is not an employee of the GUR MO," he stated.

A representative of military intelligence urged Ukrainian citizens, "especially members of parliament," to responsibly consider the interests of the state and "to refrain from making public statements that could harm national security."

"Any move towards justifying the occupier or attempting to shift the blame from the aggressor to the victim is a clear act of collusion with the enemy. Such actions should receive an appropriate assessment from the competent authorities," Yusov declared.

On November 7, Shevchenko wrote that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky should engage in "dialogue" to bring an end to Russia's war against Ukraine. "I understand that after this, you will have to step down. But the country is more important than personal ambitions. I will help if needed. I will go to Minsk again. We will solve everything. Just start," he wrote. The MP stated that otherwise, Zelensky would be "forced to resign" by Western representatives.
