"We discussed the readiness of regions and communities for winter challenges. A corresponding headquarters has been established under the government," wrote the head of the Cabinet. "It is essential to consider all scenarios and respond promptly to emergencies."
According to Shmyhal, the Ministry of Energy and regional leaders have "clear tasks regarding the protection of energy facilities, the formation of necessary reserves, and the development of decentralized generation."
The meeting also addressed the issue of protecting and restoring critical infrastructure.
"I received updates from the heads of regional military administrations on the progress of restoring key facilities, as well as the construction of shelters in schools. The government has allocated appropriate funds for this. It is important to understand the current state and needs. Regions must also communicate more actively with international partners to attract support for the implementation of priority projects," Shmyhal stated.
He added that a Strategic Investment Council has been established to prioritize projects.
"Within its framework, the selection and preparation of important community projects will take place, along with attracting investments for their implementation. International partners will also collaborate with the investment council. Therefore, local authorities are tasked with actively developing and submitting their proposals," the Prime Minister concluded.
