The OP responded to reports that Ukraine and Russia are in talks to halt strikes on energy facilities.

ОП прокомментировал информацию о переговорах между Украиной и РФ о прекращении атак на энергетическую инфраструктуру.

"This is already the fourth time I’ve heard that negotiations mediated by Qatar are taking place regarding the cessation of strikes on energy facilities. Once again, for the fourth time, I see that these are anonymous sources. Well, they know everything. Anonymous sources are the key source today that knows it all, but things always happen a bit differently. I pose a counter-question: will Russia really stop striking? Considering the type of war it is waging, and the fact that this is its main argument for psychological pressure both on Ukraine and our partners, will it voluntarily cease to do so? Especially since they are announcing the continuation of maximum escalation in this war," he said.

Podolyak reminded that Russia is utilizing resources from other countries in the war, particularly ballistic missiles and North Korean military support. Moscow is escalating and scaling up the war, he emphasized.

"And here they voluntarily say: 'Well, that’s it, we won’t terrorize the civilian population, we won’t strike at energy facilities, we won’t try to plunge this civilian population [into darkness] so that they go out into the streets and shout: 'Alright, let’s kneel before Russia!' Well, that’s a bit of a strange logic. As always, when we read somewhere in Western media that certain processes are happening, I always wonder what logic they are basing this on? That is, why should Russia abandon the type of warfare it is conducting if it doesn’t know how to fight differently?" he added.

The journalist suggested that such information might be a planted narrative and asked if anyone needs it.

"Needed," Podolyak replied.

According to the advisor to the head of the Office of the President, Russia will not abandon strikes on energy facilities as one of the tools in the war.

"Ukraine clearly states: the war must end with a reference to international law and unconditional accountability for Russia, including financial responsibility and for the destruction of energy facilities in Ukraine," he added.
