"People without critical thinking will undoubtedly start throwing mud in the comments, but the best scenario (no matter how desacralized this may sound right now, we must speak the truth) is not the borders of 1991 as they stand today. We need to forget about that. This could become our reality, but with an optimistic outlook – it will take years," she stated.
Berlin emphasized that Ukraine is not "renouncing its land" – neither Crimea nor Donbas, but discussions about them being conditionally liberated within a year need to be removed from public discourse.
"This will happen in years with a favorable forecast and with proper, very comprehensive preparation. Right now, the best scenario is to take an active defense stance and establish a 30-40 km layered, fortified, and mined zone along the entire line," the volunteer believes.
