"Today marks an important step in Ukraine to support our people this winter. Our program 'єПідтримка' has launched – 1,000 UAH for our people in Ukraine. This is for everyone – for adults, for children. On average, it's several thousand per family and the funds can be used for purchasing goods and services, specifically Ukrainian goods and services," said Zelensky.
He noted that these funds can be spent on utility bills, purchasing Ukrainian medicines, books, or train tickets.
"Of course, the program can also effectively become a national donation program – if this thousand is directed to support volunteers, for our defense. I am grateful to everyone who ensures the technical side of the program: the government, the Ministry of Economy, the Ministry of Digital Transformation," the president stated.
According to him, within the first half of the day, 1.1 million Ukrainians submitted applications for the 1,000 UAH 'єПідтримка' payout, with almost 300,000 of them applying for children's payments.
"This means the scale of the program and the pace of implementation are good. It is important for the government to monitor the operation of all systems within the program – to ensure that everything promised to the people is provided at 100 percent. The government should also present details of other support programs for this winter and throughout the next year," Zelensky emphasized.
