Zelensky gave an interview to Fox News, addressing the question regarding "disrespect" towards Trump.

Зеленский в интервью Fox News прокомментировал обвинения в "неуважении" к Трампу.

The program was aired on the same day. Host Bret Baier first asked Zelensky about Trump's remarks, in which he accused him of "disrespecting" the United States.

The President of Ukraine refrained from commenting on Trump's statement but expressed gratitude to the U.S. and its president for the support and assistance provided to Ukraine.

"I have always been very grateful on behalf of all our people. You have helped us immensely from the very beginning," he added, reminding that the aggressor country, Russia, had violated ceasefire agreements 25 times throughout the war.

However, Zelensky emphasized the need for honesty.

"I respect the President of the United States and the American people. I believe we should be very open and very honest," he stated.

According to the president, he will not return to the White House that same day (the interview aired at 6:00 PM local time).

He stressed that certain matters should be discussed without the presence of the media and highlighted the necessity of signing an agreement on minerals. However, Zelensky noted that this agreement alone is not sufficient – he has repeatedly stated that Ukraine needs security guarantees.

Zelensky expressed the opinion that his relationship with Trump could still be salvaged after the dispute in the White House. When asked if he regretted the incident in the Oval Office, he replied, "Yes, I think it was not good."
