"Donald informed me about his negotiations with the Polish side. I shared details regarding our discussions and diplomatic meetings with our partners. It is crucial for Ukraine and Poland to act in a way that supports each other's efforts, as this always strengthens us," he stated in a media announcement.
Zelensky emphasized that the cultural ministries of Ukraine and Poland are collaborating "on historical issues between our countries."
"There are meetings, there is joint work, it has commenced, and there is progress in this regard," the President of Ukraine added. "We discussed in detail the situation on the battlefield in Ukraine and in diplomacy. We see eye to eye that Ukraine needs a just peace, that Ukraine must be strong and need strengthening. After the inauguration of President [Donald] Trump, efforts will clearly be intensified to halt the war. And all of us in Europe need not just a pause, not merely a break in hostilities, not something temporary or uncertain – we need a strong common position from all partners. We need a true peace. The key point is that such a peace – a peace secured by strength – can be achieved."
