The President announced that during meetings with leaders from the United Kingdom, France, Italy, and Germany, he presented them with a plan for Ukraine's victory in the war against the aggressor country, Russia.
"All the details of our strategy for achieving peace – geopolitical, military, economic – were discussed," noted Zelensky. "We explained in London what long-range capabilities are currently needed and our vision for strengthening the front. There was a very good conversation with Emmanuel [Macron], and France has already helped us significantly in uniting other partners; we are now counting on such leadership. Italy has a very principled position from Giorgia [Meloni], with a clear understanding of our motives and Europe’s needs."
The President of Ukraine also expressed gratitude to German Chancellor Olaf Scholz for "today's conversation."
"Germany has all the details – regarding military aspects, as well as geopolitical and economic ones. We must act together – everyone who has the necessary strength and influence to guarantee a reliable peace, to compel Russia to peace. But action must be taken now, in these months. We need to strengthen our guys on the front lines. We need to enhance our collective positions," emphasized Zelensky.
According to him, the Ukrainian side will now work with partners in Europe at the command level to "maximize the execution of every planned step."
"And this plan of ours should lead to an effective second world summit, so that the war can come to an end. And for it to be a just and honest conclusion to the war. [...] I am confident that the victory plan – if our partners are truly resolute with us – will become a reliable bridge between the current situation and the peace we all strive for," Zelensky concluded.
