Today, November 29, in Odessa, in the resort area of Arcadia, one of the most popular local restaurants, True Man, has burned down.

According to the press service of the regional department of SES, firefighters extinguished a large fire that broke out at the establishment near the Black Sea in the morning.

"Due to the strong wind, there was a risk of the fire spreading to nearby buildings, which the firefighters managed to prevent. An experimental testing laboratory is working on-site to determine the cause of the fire," the agency reported.

It is stated that emergency responders took nearly 3 hours to fully extinguish the fire, which involved 51 firefighters and 10 units of equipment.

As clarified by UNIAN in the press service, the area of the fire was 2,000 square meters. According to Marina Averina, spokesperson for the Main Department of SES in the Odessa region, the establishment that caught fire was of a summer type and was not currently in operation. Due to gusts of wind, the fire could have spread to the buildings of neighboring establishments.

On social media, eyewitnesses report that the well-known summer complex True Man, located on "Arcadia" beach, was on fire. People also speculate that someone wants to "take over" or build on the seaside location.

In particular, activist Demyan Ganul noted on Telegram that this happens "when another construction project is planned for that site.

"We are waiting for the project of yet another 'space,'" he emphasized.

Another Incident with True Man Club

Recall that in 2021, a popular nightclub, True Man Hot Boat, also caught fire in the resort area of Odessa. Reports of the club fire reached rescuers on November 9 at approximately 10:50 PM.

At that time, it was reported that the fire covered about 400 square meters. The club was located near the "Dolphin" beach. Three versions of the cause of the fire were considered: a short circuit in the electrical network, the introduction of an ignition source from outside by an unidentified person or group of people, and careless handling of fire.
