Armenia presented a protest note to the Russian ambassador over "artificially generated narratives" broadcasted on state television.

Армения передала ноту протеста российскому послу из-за "искусственно создаваемых нарративов" на государственном телеканале.

"In connection with the broadcast of the program 'Vesti Nedeli' on January 12, 2025, on the All-Russian State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company, during which artificially generated narratives were voiced against the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Republic of Armenia, on January 15, the Russian Ambassador to Armenia, Kopyrkin, was summoned to the Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs," the statement reads.

The Armenian Foreign Ministry noted that the Russian ambassador was presented with a "relevant note of protest."

Armenian diplomats did not specify what exactly these "artificially generated narratives" were.

"Meduza" reported that in the January 12 broadcast, one of the segments focused on the relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia, where Russian propagandist Dmitry Kiselev spoke about the alleged "complete disregard" by Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan for the commitments of the trilateral agreement between Baku, Yerevan, and Moscow, as well as Armenia having "crossed the point of no return" in its relations with the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) and other matters.

Kiselev specifically claimed that Armenia "is receiving a large quantity of weapons from France, clearly preparing for a new war," and threatened, while mentioning Yerevan's desire to join the European Union, that Armenia could "lose its favorable conditions" in Russian gas supplies.

The Russian propagandist also noted Pashinyan's attempts to "roll back relations" with "Russia, the current allies and partners."

"Vesti Nedeli" airs on the state television channel "Russia 1."
