The Duma noted that the court's injunction pertains to assets that have already been sold by the national agency through the Prozorro system. Specifically, this includes a Maybach car, watches, paintings, ATVs, and buggies with a total value exceeding 10.2 million UAH.
"According to the court's ruling, the ban is justified by potential risks of alienation and depreciation of assets belonging to the defendants or their associated companies. The court believes that the sale of these assets could render it impossible to enforce the court's decision should the claims for their recovery in favor of the state be satisfied," the statement reads.
The head of ARMA pointed out that some of the assets have already been sold, and the proceeds have been transferred to the state budget of Ukraine.
"However, the VAC's ruling casts doubt on the legality of conducting such procedures within the 'Prozorro. Sales' system and undermines trust in the transparent management of seized assets," the statement continues.
Moreover, the Duma found it "particularly strange" that the court did not involve the national agency in the case, even though the VAC had been informed that some assets had already been allocated for the defense needs of Ukraine during the war. This includes a Gulfstream G650 aircraft and a Bell-427 helicopter, which have been transferred for the needs of Ukraine's defense forces.
